Getting rid of bodyfat
At the moment i am training my muscle groups twice a week, 3 muscle groups a day, supersetting with short semi-explosive cardio inbetween each muscle group. Im doing this 6 days a week. it is a workout from the muscle and fitness mag for shredding fat. its a 4week program and each progressive week the first excercise int the superset gets heavier in weight and lower in reps and the second excercise gets lighter with more reps.
I am eating pretty clean (i think….) and i am trying brad pilons eat stop eat fasting aswel (youtube gives a enough info on his theory). I am taking no-explode before gym and whey protein straight after my workout and using CLA.
My body fat is at 21% but my main objective is to have a six pack and cut down my body fat to around 12%.
Do you guys have any suggestions for me to try to speed up the process and how long does it normally take to see results when cutting down. Something that concerns me is that i have been traing for 2weeks now and my weight hasnt changed, surely the way im eating and training i should be losing fat quicker…?

That made me chuckle…I just had to quote it…brilliant
its implied. if you’re eating consistently at a certain level and your weight has novariation, that is probably your maintenance. adjust up or down from there depending on your goal.
also, OP, as long as your routine focuses around compound movements and avoids BS exercises like swiss ball crunch bicep overheads curls, i dont see any problem with what you are doing. be consistent and count cals for best results.
how do i calculate my maintenance calories? i know how many calories i get, but i don’t have idea of my maintenance level. I suppose that if i stay below 1800 cals per day i’m below maintenance, but how to calculate that value?
1. Dump the magazines
2. Figure out your maintenance calories (the calories you need to maintain your weight)
3. Eat less than your maintenance
4. Get on a solid routine (check out the ones stickied on this board)
You need to be counting your calories. http://www.fitday.com will help you out.
Here’s your problem. BB mags are complete junk and a waste of time. I’d put them on par with… actually I can’t think of anything as crap at the moment.
The routine sounds like complete overkill and you’ll run yourself into the ground very fast like that.
Check out http://www.wannabebig.com/cat/training/routines/ for some solid routines.
Throw in some cardio and learn about how to control your calories and you’ll lose weight just fine.
Def cut the calories. Maybe a fat burner? Try http://www.milleniumfitness.com
